Marukawa Shoten's First Handbag
The Shijimi bag (Shell Shaped) was designed to incorporate the customs and fashions of a gone-by era. Its simple design and small size make the "Shijimi" the perfect size for a little outing. The bags are made of special cotton called Matsusaka Momen (Japanese Indigo Dyeing cotton). The centuries-old practice of Matsusaka Momen is known to produce one of the highest quality cotton fabrics and is only crafted in a single remaining factory today.
